Mules Sports Teams & Schedules

Photo: Wahkiakum High School Scoreboard and Community Message Sign, Welcome to Mule Country, Cathlamet, WA

The majority of our high school students participate in at least one after-school sport sometime during the year. The local community is very supportive of all our Mules sports teams and travel to many of our "away" events, as well.

Mule Cheerleaders Earn Trophy at Camp This Summer

Photo: Wahkiakum High School 2012 Cheerleading Squad, courtesy of the Wahkiakum Cheerleaders' Facebook Page As reported by the Wahkiakum Eagle on August 9, 2012, our Wahkiakum High School Cheerleading Squad attended the Summer Cheer Squad Camp at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma along with 22 competing cheer teams.

You're going to want to attend as many Mules sports events as your schedule permits, as our Mule Cheerleading Squad earned the Superior Trophy and a number of Superior Ribbons.

We're mighty proud of Wa-Ki-Hi's cheerleaders! Go Mules!

Pay-to-Participate:
We Welcome and Appreciate Your Donations

Photo: Wahkiakum High School Mules Football Stadium, Cathlamet, WA Given the continued effects of declining revenue sources, the School Board is continuing the policy of having extracurricular participants pay a fee.

High school student athletes will be charged $60 per sport and middle school student athletes will need to pay $30 per sport. Athletes must have their fee paid prior to their first contest and does not guarantee playing time.

Low income students who request assistance, may tap the "donation pool" for 50% of their fee.

Donations are welcome and should be delivered to the District Office. If desired, your donations can be earmarked to assist a specific extracurricular program, otherwise they will go to a general "pot of money." If you want to make a 100% donation for a particular athlete for a particular sport, we will honor your request.

If you have any questions about making a donation, please contact the School District office at 795-3971, or either school building. Thank you for your support!
