Teacher and Principal Evaluation Systems

The Washington State Legislature approved three instructional frameworks to guide teaching and learning in the state. The three instructional frameworks are Marzano, Danielson and UW CEL 5D+. The law requires that school districts adopt a framework and its related evaluation system for implementation beginning with the 2013-2014 school year.

The Wahkiakum School District has selected the University of Washington's 5D+ Model for evaluating teachers and the AWSP Leadership Framework for evaluating school principals. For details on each of these frameworks, visit the OSPI Teacher/Principal Evaluation Program.
